If you think of visitors to your website entering a funnel, there are three parts that need to be addressed:
- Top of the funnel
- Middle of the funnel
- Bottom of the funnel
People that are visiting your website for the first time are at the top of the funnel. The questions they are thinking about are basic. Who are you and what do you do? Do you have anything to offer me?
As they get to know you, they are moving towards the middle of the funnel. Maybe they are interested in a product or service that you offer but they aren’t quite ready to commit. They want to know more about you. Are you staying in touch with these people with emails and blog posts?
The bottom of the funnel is when they are ready to commit to you. Is it time to make a special offer? Do you have to tools to analyze each step of the process? What’s working and what isn’t?
